Normally, communion is held on the last Sunday of every month, except July.
However, due to the COVID restrictions and the extra work involved, we will not be having communion at the end of December this year.
Some of our communion services are part of family services. Children are invited to take communion, as agreed by the General Assembly in 2002.
We are delighted to welcome others from different denominations.
The current practice at St Columba’s is for bread and alcoholic wine to be served at communion from communal cups. For family communions, juice is served to the children.
About three times a year there is a short afternoon communion for people who find in hard to attend the morning services. This is followed be tea and home baking. For details, please contact the pastoral care coordinators.
Home communion can be arranged. Please contact the minister.
